Crowds flock to annual Hilgay show
More than 1,200 people attended the two-days with the vintage cars and dog show proving popular with spectators.
Peter Bates, one of the organisers, said: “The show continues to grow every year and we had two good days of weather.”
There was face painting, a display of Leonberger dogs and traditional fairground rides, while auctioneer Barry Hawkins was on hand to value treasures. A total of 5,500 was raised, which will go towards the up-keep of All Saints Church in the village, while a small donation will also be made to charity.
