Auctioneer, Gwen Tester, well known for conducting and attending auctions in and around West Norfolk and The Fens, is bringing her gavel down to raise funds for King’s Lynn Samaritans.

Gwen, of Nordelph, is organising a Grand Auction on Saturday, October 11, at Walpole Highway Village Hall. She is donating the commission raised on each sale, which along with any other profits, will be given to King’s Lynn Samaritans.

Refreshments will be available throughout the day and a raffle is also being held.

Gwen is a great supporter of the service that the Lynn Samaritans provide for anyone who is suffering from distress, despair or suicidal thoughts. They can contact the Samaritans any time of the day and find someone there to listen to their fears and thoughts, and receive support.

The Samaritans receive no financial help from the Government and rely entirely on the generosity of the public.

Anyone who has something they would like to sell on the day, should bring it along between 9.30am and 11.30am. Gwen can be contacted on 01366 324369 or 0791
9 665730.

Entry starts at 9.30am and sale items will be accepted until 11.30 am. Viewing begins at noon with the sale getting under way at 1pm.

Anyone interested in helping the King’s Lynn Samaritans as a listening volunteer, or as a Friend to help raise funds or in any other way, please call 07939 198260.

Samaritans are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week on 08457 909090.
