Big crowds expected for children’s day at Lynn Mart

Big crowds are expected to flock to Lynn Mart today for annual children’s day.

The funfair, which is the first fair on the showmen’s calendar, runs for two weeks and was officially opened on Saturday.

West Norfolk Mayor Colin Manning welcomed the Showmen’s Guild to the town following a procession from Lynn’s Town Hall.

After the cries of Oyez Oyez and the official opening, the pumping music and flashing lights finally came into play.

The Altitude, which has a 140 foot drop, continues to be one of the main attractions at the Mart which is in its 812th year.
