Police have warned about a batch of “dangerous” heroin following the death of a Lynn man at the weekend.

A man, in his 40s, was taken ill at a property in Minster Court at the weekend. He was taken to hospital where he later died.

Police say his death is not being treated as suspicious but drugs seized from the property have been found to be heroin containing a particularly dangerous ingredient.

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Coller, said: “The taking of banned substances is illegal but also highly dangerous to your health.

“We would urge everyone not to be tempted to take illegal drugs. You don’t know where they have come from, what they are made up of, or how your body will react to them.”

Anyone with information about the sale of this or other illegal drugs is urged to call Norfolk Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
