BREAKING NEWS - ‘Suspicious package’ sent to West Norfolk Council offices

Police have been called to the West Norfolk Council offices in Lynn this morning, Friday, May 23, after a suspicious package was sent to the Chapel Street building.

A Norfolk Police spokesman said a short time ago: “Officers from Norfolk Constabulary are currently responding to a report of a suspicious package at the Borough Council Offices in Chapel Street, King’s Lynn.

Police were alerted shortly before 9am this morning Friday 23 May 2014 and are currently assessing the situation.”

Council officials say part of the site has been evacuated but public areas are still operating as normal.
