Breathe Easy King’s Lynn will be celebrating the charity’s 30th anniversary by holding an awareness stand at Asda, Langley Road, South Wootton, Lynn, from Monday, June 15, until Friday, June 19, to celebrate Breathe Easy Week.

As well as celebrating the charity’s 30th anniversary, this year’s Breathe Easy Week theme is breathlessness and early diagnosis.

People can also find out how the group supports people who are affected by lung disease.

Breathe Easy, a support group of the British Lung Foundation, is here for anyone in the area living with a lung disease, their friends, family members or carers.

All are welcome to come along and hear the varied speakers, get support from the visiting health professionals and meet others who are in a similar position.

During Breathe Easy Week, support groups all over the UK will be showcasing the range of activities they offer, from choir concerts and coffee mornings to sponsored walks and exercise classes.

Breathe Easy provides free support and advice for anybody affected by any lung condition – from lung cancer and COPD to rarer conditions such as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and mesothelioma. It also campaigns on key issues and invites guest speakers to address its meetings.

Roger Smith from Breathe Easy King’s Lynn, said: “We really hope that this Breathe Easy Week people will take the opportunity to come to our awareness stand and find out more about breathlessness and early diagnosis, what the group does and how we can help them.

“It is also an opportunity to find out about the work that the British Lung Foundation does across the country .”
