Hideaways open up golden chance
THE ECONOMIC recession and a weak pound could create a golden opportunity for a businesses that has just set up along the North Norfolk coast.
If holidaymakers choose to keep costs down and opt to stay local, Annelli Taylor and Hetti Simpson hope to have bookings rolling in to their new coastal lettings agency.
They have opened Norfolk Hideaways at Dalegate Market, Burnham Deepdale, among a cluster of other small business ventures.
Norfolk Hideaways will manage the letting of holiday properties along the coastal stretch from Old Hunstanton to Wells and in the popular inland villages.
"With our experience of letting our personal holiday homes on the North Norfolk coast we appreciate what a daunting task owners face and the concerns they may have when considering offering their properties to the holiday rental market," they said.
The help they can offer homeowners includes a fully managed booking system with on-line booking, high quality housekeeping and laundry services, property maintenance, repairs, gardening, interior decoration and styling advice.
The office, which already has a number of properties on the books, is located alongside other businesses which range from a florist's shop and a cafe to a toy shop, the tourist information office and backpackers' hostel.
