Swaffham safety firm is flying high

Swaffham-based STG Aerospace is flying high after seeing a third year of record sales for its aircraft emergency safety systems.

Sales were up 25 per cent in 2012 thanks to continued global demand for the company’s SafTglo photoluminescent systems and the first sales of its easy-install replacement LED lighting systems to Swiss International Air Lines.

There were increased orders for Boeing’s 737 models which fit SafTglo as standard equipment and the low-fare airline Scoot became a new customer. STG also supplied its 8,000th SafTglo kit to Southwest Airlines.

A new product also is in the pipeline and is due to be launched later this month.
