Clean up operations continue around the Norfolk coast after last week’s massive surge which caused widespread flooding and left a trail of debris and mud in its wake.

On the north Norfolk coast, Brancaster lost parts of its bank leading to the sea next to the roadway and at Brancaster Staithe fishermen faced a major task cleaning sheds and machinery which were covered in washed-up debris. Closeby the Norfolk Coast Path had several large drums and other debris strewn across it.
