The launch of the new Dobbies Garden Centre at Lynn’s Hardwick saw the beginning of a jam-packed weekend.
Staff will be holding a series of Little Seedlings taster workshops over the weekend for children aged four to 10 to join in and sign up for the free gardening group ahead of the first meeting on Sunday, November 3.
There will be everything from expert gardening talks to face painting, arts and crafts and musical entertainment going on throughout the weekend and into half-term.
Customers visiting the store before Sunday could also be in with a chance of winning a £250 shopping spree to spend across the store.
Head to the new store this weekend for food tastings from the new Dobbies Restaurant and Food Market, children’s entertainment, workshops and live music.
There will be live music from jazz soloist, Claire Harper, at the store from 12pm to 2pm today.
The weekend will see jazz duo, Double Time performing on Saturday from 12 to 2pm, and the Gershwin Gang Jazz Duo on Sunday from 12 to 4pm.
The store is also running a Here We Grow campaign that is giving local groups the chance to win a £3,000 bursary that could help them to develop community gardening projects.
Community champion, Victoria Emden, said: “Whether you’re a school, community organisation, local charity, hospital of care centre looking to se up a veggie patch, sensory garden or even just a few hanging baskets – we want to hear from you.”
