Staff and residents at NorseCare’s Cranmer House residential care home in Fakenham are celebrating after being confirmed as one of the top 20 homes in the UK by carehome.co.uk.
The carehome.co.uk 2014 Top 20 Awards highlights the most recommended Care Homes in each region of the UK. The awards are based on recommendations received from residents, families and friends of residents during 2013.
Cranmer House was placed second in the East of England and 13th overall in the UK, based on recommendations received during 2013. Cranmer House provides short-term care for up to 15 residents and up to five re-ablement places helping people with safe discharges from local hospitals. The home’s recommendations since April 2013 averaged 9.9 out of ten.
Karen Knight, managing director at NorseCare, said; “Its always lovely to be told of any award, but to get an award based on recommendations by our residents, their families and friends is very satisfying.
“Cranmer is a unique home for NorseCare in that residents generally stay for short-term care, so it’s very important for us to give them the same care that we provide to residents in our other homes. I’m very pleased that the recommendations on the carehome.co.uk website reflect our ambitions.
