Lynn’s newest town centre store jewellers Warren James was so busy on its opening day on Saturday that queues formed outside and several lines sold out.

Manager of the shop in the Vancouver Quarter, Paula Wilson, was over the moon with the initial response to the shop which has created six new jobs.

“It was absolutely amazing. We had a very high footfall and there were queues all day out of the door. We were blown away by the response.

“We were taking money at the tills way and above what we had expected and actually sold out of quite a few lines. Our customers were really patient as it took people slightly longer to get served. But it was a great atmosphere.

“We are really pleased with our location in Vancouver Quarter and it’s good news for Lynn town centre.”

The Lynn shop is the Warren James chain’s 128th branch. It is the largest independent jewellers in the UK and celebrates its 35th anniversary this year. It specialises in selling jewellery at up to 50 per cent less than the recommended retail price and its products include items from clearance and bankrupt stock.
