A Heacham-based care provider is celebrating news that it has been shortlisted in three categories for the annual Norfolk Care Awards.

News of the shortlisting follows hot on the heels of a special milestone for Extra Hands Home Care as last year they celebrated their 20th anniversary of providing care in the local community.

The Norfolk Care Awards are held annually to recognise and reward care providers across the county. The nominees representing Extra Hands are Hazel Evans in the category for Outstanding Achievement; Anita Walter for Motivational Leadership; and the company along with their training manager Diane Dorr for Delivering Excellence Through Learning and Development.

Director Hazel Evans, said: “We are delighted and thrilled to be shortlisted in these prestigious awards in the first instance as this is a great achievement in itself, and wait with much anticipation for the award ceremony to find out if we have been successful.”

Managing director Anita Walter said: “Any business or individual delivering a top quality service will know how rewarding it is when you are recognised for your hard work and effort. We are very much looking forward to the future as we continue to build and expand upon our excellent service provision.”

Dennis Bacon, chairman of Norfolk Independent Care and one of three judges on the panel said: “We seldom recognise the innovation and quality that is delivered by providers in our communities every day, from both independent and voluntary sector organisations. This event provides us with an important opportunity to demonstrate and recognise the excellent work that is being done across the county.”

The awards are being held at Dunston Hall on Thursday, February 13.

Extra Hands is an independent and privately-owned company providing quality home care support across North and West Norfolk and also the Broadland area, employing just under 200 employees.

It is currently recruiting social carers to join the team due to their continued expansion. Anyone interested in a position can call 01485 570611 or visit the website www.extrahandshomecarenorfolk.co.uk
