KING’S LYNN: New name for well-known hotel

One of Lynn’s leading hotels is taking on a new name and will have a new look following a major refurbishment programme.

The Ramada King’s Lynn Hotel, which is owned and operated by Akkeron Hotel Group Limited under franchise agreement with Choice Hotels Europe, has been rebranded the Quality Hotel King’s Lynn.

Mark Sheppard, general manager of the Lynn hotel based on Beveridge Way, said: “We are pleased to be known as a Quality brand hotel and to provide the town, businesses and residents with an excellent three-star hotel.”

And Duncan Berry, CEO UK, for Choice Hotels Europe, said he felt the changes would be good for Lynn’s economic growth. He said: “We are delighted to see the Quality Hotel Kings Lynn join the Choice Hotels International global network of more than 6,200 hotels. Furthermore, we believe that the Quality brand will attract more guests to the hotel and help drive local economic growth for Kings Lynn.”

Bookings are being taken for the 50-room hotel which is in the process of being refurbished throughout. All public areas are being redecorated, including the restaurant and bar, which is open to both guests and non-residents. The hotel bedrooms are also being upgraded with soft furnishings, bedding, and new bathrooms, and offer flat screen TVs, tea and coffee-making facilities.

The hotel has four meeting rooms with a maximum capacity of 70, which are available for hire and also caters for weddings of up to 180 people by setting up a marquee in the grounds.
