King's Lynn Technologies 10th Anniversary

KL Technologies celebrated its tenth anniversary with a gala evening attended by over 170 employees and guests at Lynn’s Knights Hill Hotel.

KL Technologies is the latest reincarnation of a business which has been based on the Estuary Road site in Lynn for almost 50 years.

The advanced technology business was formed from a management buyout of Porvair International and Porvair Ceramics in 2003, and the business has grown to include four manufacturing businesses, PIL Membranes, PCL Ceramics, Nanoflam and KLT Filtration with four sales companies in China, Hong Kong, Russia and the USA.

Recent investments in renewable energy, 6000 solar panels and a 1.5 Mw wind turbine illustrates KLT’s commitment to long-term manufacturing from the Lynn site.

Managing director Mark Littlewood praised the 150-strong workforce for what they have achieved over the last ten years. “It hasn’t always been easy, but their commitment, hard work and flexibility is why the company is successful today,” he said.
