Lynn’s Mill House Veterinary Hospital is staging a fun pet pub quiz to raise money to help stray and abandoned animals in Afghanistan.

May is National Veterinary Nursing Awareness Month which aims to help create awareness of the importance of the veterinary nursing profession and the provision of responsible pet care.

The registered veterinary nurses from Mill House are organising the quiz, which is being held at The Winch, West Winch, on Monday, May 19, at 7.30pm. There will be a raffle on the night and prizes for the winning and best named team.

All proceeds will be going to the British Veterinary Nursing Association’s charity of the year Nowzad – rescuing animals in Afghanistan. More information about Nowzad can be found at: http://www.nowzad.com/

There will also be a display showing the role of the veterinary nurse and the event will be a great opportunity for people to talk to the Mill House veterinary nurses who are responsible for the nursing care of pets during their stay in the hospital.

There will also be a talk from one of the nurses explaining their roles.
