Lloyds Bank has launched its new premises in Lynn’s High Street with a commitment to support community projects and its chosen charities.
The bank, which was formerly Lloyds TSB, invited the borough mayor Elizabeth Watson to cut the ribbon marking the fresh start for the bank. TSB customers can now use their own branch in the Tuesday Market Place.
On the day, Lloyds invited representatives from its four charities which it is supporting this year to come along and meet each other and staff.
“We are supporting four local causes – Big C, Purfleet Trust, North Lynn Discovery Centre and Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House,” said branch manager Suzanne Groom. “At the end of the year, two causes will each receive £3,000 each and the other two will get £300 apiece.
“We aim to support the community where we can and recently we supported St Clement’s High School with its work experience programme and also sponsored a trophy for national sports week at Springwood High School.”
The bank has also helped the Big C with painting and decorating at its new support and information centre in Norfolk Street, which is due to open later this month.
