New ideas to develop a language academy have been put into place since the business relocated to a riverside setting in Lynn’s Crossbank Road.
The Spanish Academy, which moved from Tilney St Lawrence to its new home at the Riverside Business Centre two months ago, has seen student numbers increase and is looking to introduce more classes.
The academy specialises in easy Spanish lessons aimed at children and adults of all ages in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Director Harriet Tuckett said: “We have put a fresh twist on the normal old school syllabuses that we all used to have at school and I have personally created new ideas so learning is fresh, fun and enjoyable.
“We have had a lot of interest in beginner group classes and people who have already signed up are thrilled by what they have already learned and do not feel intimidated by other students. After all, everyone is in the same boat.”
As a new feature, the academy has just introduced small group classes with a maximum of six people per class. “We think that this is a very effective way of learning and great from a sociable aspect as well,” said Harriet.
Group classes consist of ten lessons held over ten weeks where students will be learning language which is useful when visiting Spain, such as times, clothes, food and colours.
The academy is currently enrolling for a group class starting on Friday, September 20, from 6pm to 7.15pm
“People don’t need to worry if they can’t make all ten group lessons as we offer two catch-up lessons per student, which can be arranged at a time and date to suit,” said Harriet.
