New classes in King’s Lynn for first-time parents

Maternity nurse Nicki Pope has just started running classes in Lynn which will help couples expecting their first baby prepare for the days ahead.

The BabyNatal classes, which are three hours long, are held on the last Friday of every month in the Community Room at Tesco’s Hardwick store, starting at 6pm.

Nicki, who lives in March and also holds classes in Wisbech and Huntingdon, is a private nurse with 14 years’ experience. She said: “I like the BabyNatal ethos, where parents are offered choices about what they want to do. I can help expectant parents build up their confidence and show them what they need to do.

“My aim is to guide first-time parents through the days of pregnancy to the day when they hold their baby in their arms for the first time. We cover subjects such as bathing and nappy changing. The classes are unbiased, not telling people what to do but guiding them through all the available options.”

Parents who can continue to attend the classes with their newborns who are up to two weeks of age.

Nicki can be contacted by emailing Nicki.Pope@babynatal.co.uk or by calling 07798644696.
