The opening of a new gift shop in Sutton Bridge marks the start of a new phase in the development of business for jewellery-maker Naomi Katze.
She has just opened the shop Eztak Gifts at 170 Bridge Road to display a wide range of gifts, including hand-made jewellery, which she has previously sold online. The name of her shop is the spelling of her surname in reverse.
“I decided that if I was going to do something like this, then now was the right time,” said Naomi, who lives in Sutton Bridge.
“I make all kinds of fashion jewellery, including some for men. In addition to the jewellery, there will be a wide range of other giftware for sale, including hand-made cards, candles, incense burners, scarves and more besides.”
She has redecorated the shop, which she said will have a “cosy feel” to it and which was previously a barber’s and more latterly a fruit and veg outlet.
“I see this as a natural progression of my business. I am very much a ‘people person’ and have retail experience so I looking forward to running my own shop,” she said.
