Staff as well as customers will reap the benefits of an office re-fit and additions to the staff numbers at William H Brown’s Lynn branch.
A re-vamp at the estate agency’s premises at 40-42 King Street has created a modern, vibrant new look and the existing team has been joined by another negotiator and by a second mortgage adviser.
The newcomers are Carla Lane, who has joined the estate agency as a negotiator after a previous career in retail fashion. Her appointment brings the number of negotiators at Lynn to a total of five.
The new mortgage adviser is Mark Thomson, who comes to William H Brown from a management post at a high profile NatWest Bank branch, in Norwich. His arrival means that fellow adviser, Sarah Hayball, can be based at the Hunstanton branch at 40 Westgate three days a week, helping clients in that part of West Norfolk.
Carla and Mark join the team following the improvements to the King Street offices. As well as updating the surroundings it has created more space for displaying properties that are on the market and, as a bonus, there is now a private booth on the ground floor for clients to discuss mortgages. In the past this has been upstairs and has been a problem for some customers.
Jamie McRann is the area director and manager at the Lynn branch where he is based. He said that these improvements and the increase in staff numbers are well timed and that they have come at a particularly exciting and optimistic time for the branch at Lynn.
“The market is fantastic, sales are up more than 20 per cent on last year and are, in fact, currently up on those recorded in 2006 which was regarded as a boom period. Everything really is looking good, here in the office and in the market as a whole.””
