The King William pub at Terrington St Clement is looking forward to Christmas and New Year with a new look having undergone a complete refurbishment from top to toe.

Landlords Heather and Barry Buckland, who have run the pub for 23 years, unveiled the pub’s revamped interior at an official opening night featuring live music and a buffet for guests.

“We have put in new furntiutre and carpets and the whole place has been re-decorated,” said Heather, who took over the running of the pub from her late father, Ron, and her mother, Mollie. Her parents had run the pub for 18 years.

The next generation of the family, Heather’s daughters Trina and Kirstey have also played a part by helping with some of the refurbishment and stand in when cover is needed at the pub.

“I would like to thank all the staff who have been extremely helpful and put in a lot of effort with the cleaning up after the work was done,” said Heather.

In addition to the new furniture, including a brand new pool table, the pub has launched special evening menus and a takeaway service.
