Nine MPs from Norfolk are due to give their views on the future of the county at a meeting on Friday hosted by Norfolk Chamber of Commerce.
MPs and Chamber members will use this high-profile forum to raise the visibility of Norfolk to a new level and get across the message that Norfolk is the place for government and the private sector to invest.
Chief executive of the Chamber of Commerce, Caroline Williams said: ‘We plan to make it plain that not only are Norfolk’s doors open for business, we also have wide open windows of opportunity. Big Thinking, being better heard and doing business better are vital planks in our platform for 2014.
“The Chamber supports business, and delivers influence for business. Only recently we secured an audience, here in Norfolk, with the Chancellor. And now, on February 7, we’ll bring nine MPs from the House into the Chamber.
“These nine MPs are highly influential people and their voices, combined with The Chamber, will speak loudly for Norfolk. This is one of the biggest opportunities we’ve ever created to get the big messages about Norfolk into the political and commercial arena. This will be a positively charged debate, with positive outcomes for the visibility and awareness of Norfolk.”
North West Norfolk MP Henry Bellingham will give his views on how people can help drive enterprise and jobs across the county.
The Chamber meets the Norfolk Nine event – which is for members only – takes place at Sprowston Manor. For full details visit www.norfolkchamber.co.uk.
