An extra dimension is being added to the shopping experience at Burnham Deepdale’s Dalegate Market.
Four pop-up shops have been installed which will be occupied by different independent retailers each week.
Every week, from Thursday to the following Tuesday, there will be a variety of businesses selling goods ranging from food and drink, home furnishings, crafts, art and photographs. The first shops are due to open on Thursday, July 3.
Dalegate Market is already home to independent retailers Relish Boutique, One Stop Nature Shop, Gone Crabbing, The Hare & The Hen, Leftleys Supermarket and Deepdale Café. The only national chain shop in the complex is Fat Face.
It is hoped these pop-up shops will add to the independent retail selection throughout the summer. Some weeks are already full while applications are welcome at any point, said Jason Borthwick, partner of Dalegate Market.
“We are looking forward to this next stage in the life of Dalegate Market. Our Deepdale Christmas Market already welcomes more than 80 stalls each year, and we felt these pop-up shops were the natural next step.
“It will be great to welcome back old friends and new retailers to our lovely shopping site.”
Pop-up shops already booked include Pebbles Photography, Ruff & Tumble, Lymn Bank Farm Cheese, The General Store, Camrovision, KABCO Crafts, Norfolk Home & Garden, Sea2see and James Buttifant. More will be announced over the next few weeks.
