Porvair plc, which has its admin base at North Lynn Industrial Estate, announced a healthy rise in profits which were higher than had been expected.
The interim management statement released this week said that the group, which specialises in filtration and environmental technologies, had traded well and in the nine months to August, revenue was 13 per cent higher than the same period last year.
Profit before tax was higher than expected and now its full year is also likely to be ahead.
In its microfiltration division, revenues were 24 per cent ahead of last year, helped by UK government contracts, while other markets, notably aerospace, have grown steadily. Share prices on Tuesday were already rising in response to the release of the statement.
