Teenager Freddie Haynes has secured himself a job at Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital following on from a successful apprenticeship in the radiology department.

He is celebrating landing the role of radiology support worker. Freddie, 18, from Lynn, started his on-the-job training apprentice programme in May 2013.

Support worker co-ordinator Joanne Quince said: “Freddie really made the most of the opportunities that his apprenticeship gave him. He developed his knowledge and skills, and used his experiences to gain the best possible outcome.”

Freddie said: “My experiences as an apprentice helped to build my confidence, helping me to grow as a person. I am thrilled that my hard work and commitment were recognised by colleagues and has led to me securing this exciting new role.”

Ninety per cent of recent Trust apprentices have gone on to secure jobs after finishing their apprenticeship.
