A fresh round of workshops are being held in West Norfolk to help would-be entrepreneurs get started setting up their own business.
The Consultancy Home Counties (TCHC) will be providing workshops, one-to-one sessions and mentoring support through the free business service which is funded through Enterprise Norfolk by both West Norfolk and Norfolk County councils.
In the past TCHC has held workshops which have been attended by more than 100 people and, so far, 22 people have gone on to start up their new businesses.
One of them, Adrian Lilley, set up an advertising photography business after attending sessions. He said: “I found the tutor extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I came away very positive about my ideas and enthused to proceed further with my plans once I had a clearer picture of what I needed to do.”
The workshops will be held in Lynn, Hunstanton and Marham and begin on Monday, February 24 with a workshop called Starting a business – is it right for me? This will be held in Lynn’s Bishops House, Tuesday Market Place, 9.30am to 1pm. Similar workshops, with the same times, take place at Marham on Thursday, March 20 and at Hunstanton on Friday, April 4.
Further workshops titled Building your business idea, take place in Lynn on Mondays, April 28 and June 23, and run from 9.30am to 5pm.
The workshops will cover all aspects of setting up and running a business, including sales and marketing, finance book keeping, tax and VAT.
