Since opening last month, a new restaurant in Lynn’s Tower Street is already considering expansion.

The Chicken Coop located in Tower Street specialises in chicken cooked on a rotisserie but there are also vegetarian options on the menu, too. It is owned by Simon Dye, who also runs Norbury’s which is opposite. At present the ground floor restaurant offers seating for 40, but this could soon be increased. Said Simon: “We have had three good weeks since opening with last week being our busiest yet. We are looking to expand upstairs where there is potential for a further 30 covers. With the way business has been going, this could be very soon.”

He said the restaurant was designed for people to enjoy sharing a meal in comfortable, friendly surroundings. The chickens, which are free range, are sourced from a farm in Skeyton, near North Walsham. The chef/manager is experienced chef Adam Cook and the restaurant manager is Graham Ridgwell. The Chicken Coop is open Thursday to Sunday. Lunch is served noon to 3pm and evening meals from 6pm-9pm, and until 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays. On Sunday it opens noon to 6pm. It can be contacted on 01553 780253.
