Flower shop manager Megan Nurse, 21, is celebrating being named Apprentice of the Year 2016 in the business category of Lynn’s College of West Anglia Awards.

Megan has been managing her mother’s flower shop, Bridget’s Flowers since September 2014.

During this time she has completely re-branded the company, been the interior designer behind the refurbishment in 2014 as well as taken on an apprenticeship in Business Management to further her skills and knowledge of how to run a successful business.

She will now wait to see if she is chosen to be a finalist for the award Apprentice of the Year 2016. This ceremony is due to be held at the Corn Exchange later this year. Megan said: “The course has been extremely beneficial for me I have received fabulous support from both my assessor and family and I am very keen to continue working hard alongside my job with my goal being to obtain a degree in Business Management. I have recently become managing director of my own company Bridget’s Interiors which I hope to launch later on this year. I am also looking into expanding Bridget’s Flowers and will be offering a UK mainland delivery service.”
