Two Hungry Horse pubs in West Norfolk are offering families free meals and the chance to win a £1,000 family holiday.

The Gate House in Kellard Place, Lynn, and Henry IV, in Greenway Lane, Fakenham, are celebrating the start of the school holidays by giving away free rainbow veggie sticks between August 2 and 7. Local families can quote the code word, “rainbow”, when ordering from the new kids’ menu to receive the healthy dish on the house.

The pubs will also be going the extra mile to help brighten up the holidays for one lucky family by giving away a family holiday for the most colourful summery selfie.

Donna Crawford, general manager at the Gate House, said: “Summer is our favourite time of year, but we all know how unpredictable the British weather can be. We wanted to make sure we brighten up the holidays for families come rain or shine, with a delicious and healthy giveaway for the area’s most colourful kids.

“As well as free food, what better way to celebrate the start of summer than with a holiday for the whole entire family? We can’t wait to see some of the brightest and most summery selfies that people have to offer.”

To be in with a chance of bagging the family holiday, people just need to post a summery photo of their family on the Hungry Horse Facebook page www.facebook.com/HungryHorsePubs before Friday, August 29.
