Neighbouring Lynn businesses both staged an open day last week which saw positive feedback and paved the way for more business in the months ahead.
The Spanish Academy, which is next door to P & K Training Services at the Riverside Business Centre on Crossbank Road, saw a steady stream of visitors during the open day on Friday. The academy took the opportunity to launch its new French Academy which held its first lessons this week.
Academy director Harriet Tucker, said: “The open day was really super and a lot of people turned up so I was really pleased.
“It’s nice to know that you’ve got so much support behind you. There were even people who turned up who I hadn’t seen in over a year so that was a lovely surprise.
“People also came through recommendations and I had at least three people sign up for Spanish and French lessons between them so it was a very successful day.”
Her two French tutors, Emmanuelle Noirtin and Claire Caldairou, were also there to talk to people about classes.
Angela Pilkington, of P & K Training Services, was delighted with the success of the day. She said: “Since Friday’s open day I have had several phone calls and emails from potential new customers.
“It was also good that several regular customers whom we mainly deal with over the phone, called in to meet myself and some of the P & K Team to discuss their training requirements in a relaxed and pleasant environment. Feed back regarding our new training facilities was very good.”
P & K Training Services, which has recently moved to the Riverside Centre, invited clients to look around its new premises and find out more about the courses it offers. Some of its most popular are First Aid at Work, Health and Safety, Food Huygiene, Moving and Handling, Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding Children.
