Students from Lynn’s College of West Anglia have been on location on the north Norfolk coast producing a video to help promote a “glamping” business.

They spent a day in October at Leith House Orchards in Burnham Thorpe filming to illustrate the services of 2Posh2Pitch, a company founded and owned by Kate Southerland in 2013.

The business offers people the traditional camping experience in bell tents with extra luxuries and also the chance to have a tent already pitched in an agreed location ready and waiting for clients.

Sam Ward, who is studying film and television production at the college, acted as producer for project which involved creating a promotional film which Kate can use in future.

He said: “The glamping idea is aimed at families who want to camp but don’t have storage for equipment, busy professionals who don’t have time to pitch and clear away tents, and for people on sleepovers or birthday parties.

“The main selling point, apart from the glamping side is that the tent will be pitched on location for you and will be cleared away afterwards, too, leaving people free to relax and enjoy the attractions of Norfolk.”

The film shows a family who use a bell tent and, because they don’t have to spend time pitching up, have plenty of quality time to enjoy their chosen pursuits.

Said Sam: “The film has now been edited and our next task is to put it onto a DVD, which can be given out at promotional events.”

The college team working on the project alongside Sam were: Alison Kellythorn - director; Rebecca Munns – production manager; Ashleigh Brockbank-Fabre – assistant producer; chief editor - Rhys Rose; Editors - Aaron Addis, Luke Smith, Adas Simenas; camera operators - Alison Kellythorn; lighting - Rhys Rose, Rebecca Munns; audio - Callum Hunter, Rhys Rose; pre-production and research - Christine Bailey, Sam Ward, Rebecca Munns, Ashleigh Brockbank-Fabre, Chelsey Gibson, April Follen, Thomas Sharma, Ptolemy Pick and Hannah Davis; script/storyboard - Matthew Hardy.
