Dog groomer Fiona Brook, who runs her business Pride 2 Groom in Lynn, is celebrating competition successes including winning a best in show title.

Fiona, who has a grooming centre at Dickie’s Pet Centre, on Friesian Way, Hardwick Narrows, attended the Northern Groomers contest recently with her mother’s standard poodle, Sherry, and took first place in the poodle class before going on to win the overall accolade for best groom in the show.

Two weeks ago she attended Groomer of the Year, a competition split into groups with experienced, advanced and champion.

She said: “I competed in the advanced group with Selene, my American Cocker Spaniel, and we were placed third in the Advanced Gundogs class in the morning. In the afternoon I competed with Sherry in the Advanced Standard Poodle Class, which we won.

“All class winners from each group then go forwards to compete for best in group and I won the Advanced Group overall with Sherry. This meant I ended the day being in the last three for Best In Show – which is a huge achievement.”

Her business at Dickie’s is going from strength to strength since she started there in June. “Many clients are over the moon with how well handled and beautifully groomed their dogs are. I am happy with how my client base is growing and love meeting new dogs as well as seeing dogs returning for another groom and cuddle.”

She is working at the salon Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 9.30am-4.30pm weekdays and 9am-4pm on Saturdays.

At the moment she is offering £5 off full grooms until November 1, if people quote Groom10 when booking appointments.
