Lynn-based construction firm Chalcroft has sponsored the Environmental Initiative category at the prestigious annual Excellence Awards hosted by Food Manufacture magazine.
Named the “Oscars” of the food and drink industry, the awards are an opportunity to celebrate success and to recognise achievements from across the sector, from renowned global brands to smaller independent processors.
At a James Bond-themed ceremony at the Park Lane Hilton last week, Chalcroft managing director, Mark Reeve, presented the award to Isla Roebuck, Development Director of Primary Processing at Dawn Meats.
The judges selected the national meat processor for their outstanding performance of achieving 90 per cent reduction in thermal energy consumption at one of their sites, and 50 pee cent in others, along with significant cuts in energy emissions.
Mark said: “Chalcroft has extensive experience of working in the food and drink industry for well-known brands and their professional teams, and we sponsored the Environmental Initiative Award as we seek to offer our clients sustainable long-term solutions to their construction needs. Our congratulations go to Dawn Meats and the other finalists for their remarkable achievements”.
Chalcroft Construction, based on Hardwick Narrows Estate, handles a wide range of industrial and commercial projects, from simple refurbishment to multi-million pound factories in the food and drink, healthcare and pharmaceutical, warehouse and distribution and renewable energy sectors.
