Lynn’s Sainsbury’s store, based at the Vancouver Quarter, re-opened its doors on Wednesday after a ten-day closure for refurbishment.
Included in the refurbishment was the implementation of a new pizza counter and a new hot food snack-and-go counter.
Mike Coupe, chief executive of Sainsbury’s said: “Sainsbury’s Vancouver Centre has been serving the community for 43 years.
“With wider aisles and a brighter store, this investment project will make shopping here at Sainsbury’s a more comfortable experience for customers.”
Mr Coupe, chief executive of the company, was at the opening along with store manager Jeff Ireson and colleagues Jayne Dix, who has been with Sainsbury’s for 43 years and Margaret Cook, who has served 38 years with the company. The opening time has been adjusted to 7.30am every day, to accommodate those who will be catching early buses and the store will close, as normal, at 8pm.
