Middletons Steakhouse and Grill will be unveiling its brand new look after a £100,000 refurbishment when it reopens its doors on Good Friday evening.
The restaurant in the village of Middleton will be showing off its plush new look after a major transformation of its interior.
Managing director Steve Hutton told the Lynn News: “We have given it a complete facelift. It will be much lighter, airier and crisper and will have a modern feel.
“One of the changes we have made is to remove a bar area so that we have a ‘meet and greet’ area, which is more in keeping with a restaurant.
“Most of the furniture is new and modern light fittings have been installed.
“It means that it will be in keeping with all our other restaurants. We have used the same contractors who have refurbished our other sites.”
He said the work has been completed within two-and-a-half weeks after the restaurant was closed following Mother’s Day, which is one of its busiest days of the year.
“We are hoping that all our regular customers, as well as new ones will come along and enjoy the new look.”
The refurbishment project has included redecoration throughout the building. New leather booth seating plus tables and chairs have also been added.
All of the flooring has been sanded and varnished and as well as rewiring and new light fittings, a sound system had been installed.
The gents’ toilets have also been renovated.
To finish the overall look, new artwork has been displayed and blinds have been fitted.
The restaurant at Middleton opened five years ago and since then the chain has increased with more opening in Norwich, Watford, Colchester and Milton Keynes.
“At the end of the summer we are opening another venue in Leicester, where a £500,000 refurbishment project has taken place on the site of an old bank in the centre,” said Steve.
“And we are now under offer for what will be our seventh venue in Peterborough.”
The doors are due to swing open at Middletons for business on Friday, March 25, at 6pm.
