Customers at Middletons Steakhouse and Grill restaurant have voted with their taste buds for a new dessert menu featuring some of the world’s favourite puddings.
When the restaurant decided to update its dessert menu, it opted not to leave it to chance and gave customers exactly what they wanted.
For several months, the shortlisted sweets were offered as “dessert of the week” at the restaurant’s five outlets, with only the best-selling dishes making the cut.
Among the winners were banoffee pie, sticky toffee pudding, lemon meringue pie and tiramisu, while chocolate brownies and crème brulee remain as Middletons favourites.
Steve Hutton, managing director at Middletons, which will open its sixth restaurant in Leicester this autumn, said: “Our dessert chefs all have their favourite dishes, but we felt it was important to listen to our customers and give them the chance to shape our menu.
“What we’ve now got are freshly-made desserts that we absolutely know our customers love, and if they’re happy, we’re happy.”
Middletons are also encouraging people to have a go at recreating their favourite dessert at home by providing their recipes online.
The first Middletons Steakhouse and Grill opened in Middleton and its other restaurants are in Norwich, Watford, Colchester and Milton Keynes.
