Landlords at the Crown and Anchor in St Germans, Robert and Theresa Shoebridge, are proud to be running the village pub which they once frequented as customers.
The couple, used to run pubs in South London for about 20 years before moving to the village six years ago.
Last autumn they reopened the Crown and Anchor, which had previously been closed, having spent time giving it a fresh new look inside and out.
Said Robert: “Villagers are over the moon to see the pub open once more. We have revamped the whole place in a traditional pub style with new paintwork and furniture. In the summer months customers will be able to sit outside and enjoy the view of the river while they eat and drink.” The menu includes a carvery and variety of traditional pub food, which is all homemade.
