A successful eatery in Fakenham is continuing to attract plenty of customers under new management.
Cafe Scrumptious at the town end of Norwich Road has been taken on by local mum Glenys Twite from its previous owner Jess Neale.
Mrs Twite is no stranger to the catering business having previously helped manage Shapes Restaurant at the Aldiss store and the Langham Glass coffee shop on Greenway Lane. Her decision to embark on this new challenge was fairly instant.
She said: “I was sitting outside the Con Club just opposite, when I noticed the business was up for rent. Things moved on quite quickly from there and so far things have been going well.”
Adjustments have been made to the menu and customers can expect good quality home-made snacks, soups, cream teas and cakes at reasonable prices. “We’re on Facebook and I’ve already had compliments from lots of people,” said Mrs Twite. “As someone from a large family, I’m hoping to develop a kiddies’ corner to encourage mums and dads and their youngsters to come in.”
Cafe Scrumptious is open from 9.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Saturday.
