Middletons Steakhouse and Grill is celebrating three awards of excellence from respected online review website Trip Advisor.
Trip Advisor has awarded 2015 Certificates of Excellence to three of the four restaurants which now belong to the chain, which began four years ago with the restaurant at Middleton.
Since then it has opened further restaurants in Norwich, Milton Keynes, and most recently at Colchester, which missed out on an award this time since it was only opened at the end of last year.
Managing director and founder of Middletons, Steve Hutton, was delighted with the news. He said: “We are chuffed to bits. We take our customer service very seriously and continually work at improving our business for our customers.
“These awards are testament to my staff at all of the restaurants for all their hard work. They are all proud of what we have achieved and strive to deliver the best service.
“Good or bad, the reviews are a useful tool to constantly improve our service to the customers. If we get any bad reviews, we always ask to be able to contact the individual and invite them back. Next year we are aiming to get four out of four to include our Colchester restaurant too.”
Middletons has gone from strength to strength and now serves 6,000 people every week across all four restaurants, with 3,000 of those being diners at the Norwich venue.
And further expansion is in the pipeline for 2015/2016 with the opening of another three restaurants in Chelmsford, Birmingham and Leicester, where an offer has already been made for a site.
At Middleton, the restaurant is being redecorated, new signage is going up and the car park area will have some hardstanding and will be reshingled. “We are giving the restaurant a fresh new look for the season ahead,” said Mr Hutton.
An outbuilding at the site has been converted into a butchery. Said Mr Hutton: “We now employ three full time butchers and the meat is delivered to all our other outlets from here.”
In July, Middletons is also looking forward to launching a new menu, said Mr Hutton. His executive chef, who takes charge at all the restaurants, Adam Mott, is a graduate of Norwich City Catering College.
