Born of an idea following their own wedding less than two years ago, a couple set up a wedding decoration business which has just been shortlisted for a national award for the second time in a matter of months.
Family-run business Letterhire.com based in Lynn was set up in April 2015 by Daniel and Claire Cook, who were married at Heacham Manor.
The company has just been shortlisted for Wedding Decoration Supplier of the Year in the Bridebook.co.uk Wedding Awards 2017. And in November last year it was a shortlisted as a regional finalist in The Wedding Industry Awards in the Special Touch category for the East of England region.
The company supplies large letters which are lit up with a low voltage LED lighting system and are used for weddings, corporate events, parties and charity balls.
Company director Daniel, who lives at Wisbech, said: “The idea started with our own wedding when we were looking for decorations. We found some online and we decided that this was something which we could do ourselves. Family and friends have supported us and help us in the running of the business.
“The business has surpassed our expectations and last year we supplied more than 100 events locally, and we also deliver throughout the UK.”
Of the Bridebook.co.uk shortlisting, he added: “Being shortlisted for awards such as this not only brings with it strong company exposure but these awards show potential clients that previous ones are pleased with the service they have received from ourselves.
“Receiving recognition like this makes all the hard work that the team puts in day in day out worth it. We would not be in the position we are with every single person involved. They all play a vital role in delivering excellent customer service and satisfaction at every event.”
Over 180,000 votes were cast to choose the awards’ shortlist from over 70,000 entrants nationwide. With 40,000 engaged couples planning their weddings on Bridebook.co.uk, this is a prestigious award. The winners will be announced on March 1.
