A new face is selling copies of the Lynn News at a newsagent’s business recently opened in Swaffham’s Market Place.
Sue’s News is already attracting a steady flow of customers, some of which have used the bus stop or taxi rank, which are right on its doorstep.
The shop has been opened by Sue Fulcher, who for the past 15 years has been head cook at Swaffham Junior School. “It was a case really of now being the right time to do something different if I ever was going to branch out and try something new,” said Sue.
“We have found people very friendly and the business has been well-received.” She employs another person on a part-time basis to help run the shop, which is open from 6am through to 5.30pm.
Sue’s shop sells papers, magazines, greetings cards, hot and cold drinks to take away, sandwiches, and ice creams.
