The White Horse at Brancaster Staithe has undergone a major refurbishment programme designed to make the most of the stunning marsh scenery on its doorstep.
Its new look was revealed last week when it reopened for business following a two-week closure while extensive works took place.
The project included the installation of larger panes of glass so the vista is unrestricted, fresh furnishings inspired by the colours of the marshes and a new drinks lounge where guests can enjoy the views out to sea.
The bar has also been extended so that there is more space for visitors. In addition access to the deck terrace has been made easier from the bar area.
Christina Boyle, general manager, said: “We are so fortunate to have this beautiful view across the tidal marsh. Everything we do at The White Horse from our food, to our service, has to live up to that view and do it justice.
“Another big element is the environment we provide our guests for drinking and dining.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have completed this refurbishment so our guests can enjoy more comfortable surrounding and importantly unencumbered views across this stunning vista.”
To celebrate the new look, The White Horse is offering half-priced bottles of champagne and prosecco for those dining in the new restaurant throughout February, excluding Valentine’s weekend. People booking a table should mention “fizz offer”. The White Horse can be contacted on 01485 210262 or visit www.whitehorsebrancaster.co.uk
