Two long-established insurance businesses in Lynn are merging to provide an even more comprehensive service for their customers.

The Insurance Office of King’s Lynn, which has been based at 29 King Street since it was founded in 1989 by Phillip Seaman, will be moving to 24 Tuesday Market Place to join West Norfolk Insurance Services Ltd. The merger takes effect from Monday, December 1.

West Norfolk Insurance Services Ltd was founded in 1979 in a first floor office in the town’s High Street by Tim Boorman, before moving premises in 1993 to the Tuesday Market Place location.

Its current owners Sean Scanlon and Lorraine Adams have both worked for the company for over 15 years and took over the business in 2012 following Tim’s retirement.

The Insurance Office recently celebrated being in business for 25 years and dealing with thousands of clients not only in Lynn, but many parts of the UK.

Said Mr Seaman: “We have offered a very personal insurance service covering most types of insurance and attend to clients’ needs with care and attention.”

Mr Scanlon said: “We welcome our new partnership with The Insurance Office. Both companies are very similar in many ways, and combining will not only make us more efficient, but will also put us in a better position to negotiate rates and claims settlements with insurers for the benefit of our clients. The same care and attention will be offered by our joint experienced staff.”

Mr Seaman added: “I am very happy to find business partners that will help us to continue offering the same level of service to our clients, which will be beneficial to all of our clients and to new customers.”
