Springside is the only KLAA venue which is open and has again seen a few anglers on the bank, writes Darren Reed.

Carp to 10lb have fed close in on various baits that have been offered, method feeder and carp style feeding has brought out the carp into feeding. Tench to 6lb have again showed well during the last seven days, margin swims have again been successful but the waggler has been used with good results. Maggot and corn have been the more beneficial baits to attract both the carp and tench.

Springside will remain open and old books can still be used to fish the water up until 31st March.

After this a new book will need to be purchased. Day tickets can still be purchased on the day from the venue.

Klaa permits for 2015/16 can now be purchased from all the local tackle shops. Prices are on the Klaa website. www.klaa.co.uk

The new season for the lakes will begin on April 1.
