People in West Norfolk are being encouraged to help children in some of the poorest parts of Africa to enter the world of computing during a collection event next week.

Computers 4 Africa refurbishes old machines before shipping them to schools, colleges, clinics and projects across the continent.

The charity, which is based in Aylesford, Kent, will be holding a collection event at the former PC World store on the Campbells Meadow retail park, next Thursday and Friday, October 29 and 30.

The premises, between Halfords and Maplin, will be open between 9am and 5pm on Thursday and 9am and 4pm on Friday.

Supporters are asked to bring along equipment that is no more than eight years old and is still in working condition.
