Campaign to focus on autism

A NEW campaign aimed at raising awareness about autism was unveiled yesterday.

The campaign has been launched by the National Autistic Society (NAS) to change perceptions of the complex disability and banish misconceptions.

Members of the NAS West Norfolk branch are asking residents to join the fight and sign a petition calling on the Government to tackle discrimination and increase awareness.

From 10am today, at Lynn Arts Centre in King Street, the branch is also holding a conference to help launch the project and highlight issues relating to the disability.

To find out more about the campaign and petition, visit www.think-differently.org.uk

For tickets or more information about the conference, contact the West Norfolk branch on 01553 660224.
