Air ambulance at Heacham jet ski incident

THE East Anglian Air Ambulance dropped in at Heacham beach yesterday (Wednesday) lunchtime after a report of a person coming off a jet ski at high speed.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said the air ambulance was in the area when the call was received shortly before 1pm and diverted to the beach, off Jubilee Road.

Two paramedics on board checked out the 55-year-old woman who had come off the jet ski. They found that she was winded and had swallowed water but was otherwise unhurt, the spokesman said.

A coastguard team also attended the incident after hearing that three people in lifejackets were in the sea and one needed checking out.
