Armed robberies: Three arrested
Norfolk Police yesterday arrested two men and a woman in connection with the recent series of armed robberies in West Norfolk.
The men, aged 47 and 24, were arrested at an address in Littleport, Cambridgeshire, shortly after 11am in a joint firearms operation with officers from Cambridgeshire Constabulary.
They were being transported to a police station in Norfolk where they will be interviewed.
The woman, who is 44, was also arrested in Littleport yesterday in connection with the inquiry.
A detailed forensic and police search was being carried out.
The arrests form part of the inquiry by detectives from Norfolk's Major Investigation Team (MIT), which has led the investigation into a series of armed robberies at addresses in West Norfolk and the Fens over the past two weeks.
The major investigation has focused on robberies by a gang of armed men at households and businesses in a number of villages including Northwold, Nordelph, Stowbridge, North Runcton, Elm and Wereham.
The armed robbery of Weeting Bowls Club on Monday night has also been linked to the inquiry.
