Bowling Lynn brothers strike it lucky

Congratulations to Jason Chown for his bowling achievements at Dunstable.

Representing the Lynn Juniors in the South of England Open, Jason finished the tournament in third place in the Under 10's.

This is the third successive year that Jason has finished in the top three for his age group at the event.

With a total pinfall of 1187 over nine games (1763 handicap), this score is above his current Saturday morning league average.

Bowling in the Saturday morning junior league at the Strikes centre, older brother Karl Chown, scooped the "Match A Strike" top prize.

Matching all seven strikes in order against the centre's format, Karl received a cheque for 50.

From recent records, this is the first time that all seven strikes have been matched by a junior bowler in the league.

Just three weeks after Karl's achievement, Steven Ridley, also bowling in the junior league, has matched the magnificent seven.

This was another 50 well deserved.
